Lesson Plan Ideas

This high school lesson plan works students' hand-eye coordination dealing with observational drawing and painting through pop art. Students drink pop while studying their can and after drinking they crush up and get to work drawing the crushed version! 

Students of the middle school age range will love this lesson looking at memories and replicating them through printmaking! To me this lesson is exciting and very important as we push students to think conceptually and what it means to work with a concept in mind. Similar to focused artist Suzie Mckenzie, an experienced contemporary printmaker, who has been hosted in many shows! Her work is featured below, teacher sample included in lesson plan. 

This lesson features artist, Andy Warhol one of my all-time favorites! Elementary students will get a first-row seat looking at his artwork and creating their own endangered species. Teaching students about animal advocacy is important in keeping our world going! Warhol's work featured on the endangered species that I referenced, and teachers' samples included in the lesson plans!
